How do I stop overthinking on video calls and stare less at myself?
#1
I was on a group video call last night and realized I was staring at my own little square the whole time, just watching my own reactions instead of actually listening to anyone. It made me feel really self-conscious and weirdly detached. I’m starting to wonder if this constant low-grade performance for the camera is changing how I show up in conversations, even simple ones. Has anyone else felt that shift?

I hear you. that camera view can steal your attention even when you are trying to listen. it makes the moment feel about how you look rather than what you hear. you are not alone in this. do you think you will try leaving self view off on future calls
