How do i relieve morning lower back pain from a stiff mattress or desk?
#1
Lately I’ve been waking up with this dull ache in my lower back that just lingers through my morning routine. I’m wondering if my old mattress is finally giving out, or if it’s how I’m sitting all day at my desk. Has anyone else dealt with something similar and figured out what actually helped?

Yeah I get that morning back ache. I had a similar thing when my mattress wore thin but my desk habits mattered too. Have you tried flipping or replacing the mattress?

Back pain after sleeping can come from several angles mattress wear posture and chair height. Try testing by sleeping on a firmer surface for a few nights and adjust your chair height and monitor level.

Old mattress might matter but it is not the full villain Could be stress footwear or dehydration Have you looked at your desk chair or the way you lean during work?

I used to think a better mattress would fix everything then I learned about nociception and how sleep cycles shape pain It still helps to tweak the morning routine a bit.

What if the issue is not mattress vs desk but how your body uses energy in the morning Maybe a short mobility sequence before coffee changes the rhythm.

If the pain sticks around or worsens see a clinician to rule out nerve or disc issues
