How do i keep my social media posts real without overthinking the vibe?

Lately I’ve been feeling this weird tension when I post anything online. It’s like I’m trying to be genuine, but then I catch myself editing a casual photo or overthinking a simple story update to make it seem more “vibey” or interesting. I don’t even know who I’m tailoring it for anymore. Does anyone else get that, where the line between just sharing your life and quietly performing it just completely blurs?

Yeah I know that tug. It sits at the edge of being real and being curated. I catch myself trimming a casual photo or rewriting a story to sound more interesting. I wonder who I am posting for.

From a systems view the feed rewards novelty and pace so you end up shaping life into a story even when you mean to be honest and authenticity becomes a moving target.

Maybe the worry is louder in your head than in real life.

What if the tension is not a problem but a signal that you narrate a world you curate rather than a diary.

Maybe you think every post needs a grand reveal and not every life needs a performance.

Do you have a vibe filter you use when you post and does it help or hurt?
