How do i fix apa 7 intext citations with multiple authors and same-year sources?

I'm finishing my thesis and thought I had a handle on the formatting, but my advisor just sent back a draft covered in red about my citations. I was using apa 7 in text citations, but apparently I'm messing up the rules for multiple authors and sources published in the same year. The official manual is so dense—has anyone found a clearer, reliable guide or checklist they actually trust for this stuff?
