How do I fix a new phone's battery drain before the best books of 2025 release?

My new phone's battery is draining way too fast || I just got this new phone and the battery life is awful. It was fine for the first couple days but now it's dropping like 20 percent an hour even if I'm not using it much. I checked the battery usage screen and nothing obvious is eating it up. I'm starting to think I got a lemon or something. I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it already though.

Maybe it is just software or a rogue app acting up but a bad unit is still possible and you might need a reset.
