How close are we to true virtual reality world simulation?
#1
I've been thinking about the concept of virtual reality world simulation lately, and I'm curious how close we actually are to creating truly believable, persistent virtual worlds. We have games with amazing graphics and physics, but there's still something missing that keeps them feeling like games rather than actual worlds.

What do you think are the biggest barriers to achieving true virtual reality world simulation? Is it technical limitations, design challenges, or something else entirely?

And are there any current projects or technologies that you think are bringing us closer to this goal? I'm fascinated by the idea of virtual worlds that feel as rich and complex as the real one.
