How can my cat line up socks every night, and is this a home workouts trend?

My cat has started bringing me socks and laying them in a perfect line, she does it every single evening now from the laundry basket to my desk chair. She doesn't play with them or anything, just arranges them very deliberately. It's kind of cute but also a little bizarre. I have no idea what she's trying to tell me or if this is some new cat trend.
