Looking for simple - photo editing tips for beginners

I'm new to photography and looking for some basic - photo editing tips. All the tutorials I find are for advanced Photoshop users and I just get lost. I'm using a free app on my phone and want to make my vacation photos look a bit nicer, not create a masterpiece. Things like fixing the brightness or making colors pop without it looking fake. It's surprisingly hard to find straightforward advice.

Nice field to get into and you can do it with simple edits Here are some photo editing tips for beginners start with brightness to brighten the scene contrast to add depth and a touch of saturation or vibrance to make colors pop while staying natural The goal is a small boost not a fake look

Try a tiny phone workflow crop for composition white balance to neutral then exposure and again contrast then color with saturation first then vibrance Save a copy so you can compare before and after

Color grading can help tie your photos together Keep it subtle maybe a single cool or warm tone across shots If your app has presets you like pick a mild one and tweak the intensity

Use non destructive edits and create duplicates before experimenting This way you can revert if you overshoot and you won't fear trying new things A little caution goes a long way

Lightroom presets can speed things up even on mobile If you want I can suggest a few beginner friendly presets and a simple workflow to get a natural look that still pops Also look for easy photo editing software that focuses on beginners for more options
