How can a new phone's battery die by 3 PM with normal use?

My new phone's battery life is just awful || I got this new phone last month and the battery life is terrible, it's dead by like 3 PM with just normal use. I checked the battery settings and nothing seems to be draining it unusually. My old phone lasted way longer. I'm starting to think I just got a bad unit or something. Maybe I need to just return it.

That sounds rough a brand new phone dying by mid afternoon is not normal and totally frustrating for daily use.

Maybe you are right but it could be a flaky app or background process acting up so you might fix it without a swap.

I had a similar issue once and a quick factory reset cleared the drain for me, plus updating apps sometimes helps.

If it stays bad push for a swap under warranty or go with a different model instead of letting a lemon drag you down.
