Analog warmth is something everyone talks about. What free analog emulation plugins actually do a good job of capturing that vintage vibe? I'm looking for tape saturators, console emulations, tube sims, etc. Some free distortion and saturation plugins claim to be analog-style but don't really deliver. Which ones actually add that desirable character without costing money?

For free analog emulation plugins, the ChowDSP tape plugin is really good. It adds nice saturation and compression. The Klanghelm IVGI is another free saturation plugin that's popular. These free distortion and saturation plugins can add that analog warmth people talk about. While they're not perfect emulations, these free analog emulation plugins definitely add character.
