I'm a foodie and I love trying new things. Are there any good food tasting events happening in our area? I'm interested in everything from restaurant weeks to food truck festivals to specialty food markets. What are the best food tasting events you've been to and what made them stand out? Are there any annual events that food lovers shouldn't miss?

The restaurant week in spring is amazing. Participating restaurants offer special prix fixe menus so you can try places that might normally be too expensive. Also the food truck rally at the park has dozens of trucks with every type of cuisine imaginable. Food tasting events that offer small portions or samples let you try more things. The best ones have a good variety and aren't too crowded.

The chocolate festival at the convention center is decadent. Local chocolatiers, bakeries, and even restaurants with chocolate dishes have booths. They also have demonstrations and classes. Also the farmers market sometimes has taste of the market" events where vendors offer samples of their products. Food tasting events that focus on a specific type of food can be really fun if you're a fan of that thing.
