Do digital detox tools actually help or just create more rules?
#1
I've been experimenting with digital detox tools - app blockers, screen time trackers, notification managers - but I'm starting to wonder if they're solving the problem or just adding more complexity.

The idea behind digital detox tools is reducing digital distraction and improving focus, but I find myself spending mental energy managing the detox tools themselves. It feels like trading one type of distraction for another.

Has anyone found digital detox tools that actually become invisible helpers? Or are some people better off with simpler approaches like putting the phone in another room?
