Getting into photography seriously and need to upgrade from my phone. Looking for camera gear reviews that are actually helpful for beginners, not just pros talking about features I don't understand yet. What's a good starting setup that won't break the bank?

For camera gear reviews for beginners, start with a used Sony a6400. The autofocus is incredible which helps you get sharp shots while learning. Pair it with the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens for great low-light performance and beautiful background blur. This combo is affordable and will grow with you as you learn.

The Fujifilm X-S20 is another great beginner option. The film simulations make your photos look amazing straight out of camera, which is encouraging when you're starting out. It has great video features too if you want to try videography. The kit lens is actually decent to start with.

Don't overlook micro four thirds cameras like the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV. They're smaller, lighter, and more affordable than APS-C or full frame. The lens ecosystem has lots of good options at reasonable prices. Image quality is still excellent for learning and the in-body stabilization helps get sharp shots.
