Best puncture-resistant, comfortable road tire setup for 100 miles/week
#1
I'm a recreational road cyclist looking to upgrade my tires for better puncture resistance and a smoother ride, as I'm currently using the basic stock tires that came with my bike. I ride about 100 miles a week on a mix of decent pavement and some rougher chip-seal roads. I've been researching options like the Continental GP5000 or Schwalbe Pro One, but I'm unsure about the trade-offs between tubeless and high-quality clinchers with latex tubes for my use case. For riders with similar mileage, what tire and setup have you found offers the best balance of durability, comfort, and rolling resistance without breaking the bank?
