Animal rescue networks that support both animals and rescuers
#1
I've been involved in animal rescue for a few years now, and while the animal rescue networks are great for the animals, I'm noticing that they often neglect the wellbeing of the rescuers. It's constant crisis mode, emotional burnout, and very little support for the people doing this difficult work.

I'm looking for animal rescue networks that recognize and address rescuer burnout. Places where there's support for the humans as well as the animals - maybe mental health resources, peer support, strategies for sustainable rescue work, and celebration of successes.

What I've experienced so far is that everyone is so focused on the animals (which is understandable) that human needs get ignored until someone has a complete breakdown and leaves rescue work entirely.

Has anyone found animal rescue networks that take a more holistic approach? I'm interested in networks that might incorporate elements of digital wellness communities or positive mental health communities specifically for rescuers.

I'm also curious about how these networks handle the emotional toll of rescue work while maintaining a positive, sustainable community.
