12-month cash flow forecast for a woodworking shop with net-60 receivables
#1
I run a small custom furniture workshop, and after a rough quarter where we almost missed payroll, I realize my informal cash flow forecasting is completely inadequate. I'm trying to build a proper 12-month rolling forecast to anticipate seasonal dips and material cost spikes, but I'm struggling to accurately project accounts receivable timelines from my commercial clients, who often pay net 60. I need a practical method, not just a software recommendation, to model these variables without a finance background.
