I've hit a complete wall against Malenia, Blade of Miquella in Elden Ring, and after dozens of attempts, I feel like I'm missing a fundamental strategy for her second phase. I'm using a strength build with a Colossal Greatsword and a medium roll, and I can consistently get through her first phase by trading blows and using the Mimic Tear, but when she blooms, the increased aggression and the new scarlet rot attacks overwhelm me every time. For players who have conquered her, what specific tactics or gear adjustments made the difference in phase two? Is it better to respec for more mobility with a faster weapon, or should I double down on staggering her with specific ashes of war? What's the most reliable way to avoid or mitigate her waterfowl dance and the phantom clones attack that seems impossible to dodge consistently?
