I've been diligently practicing figure drawing from photo references for several months, focusing on gesture and basic construction, but I feel I've plateaued and need an outside eye to help me identify my fundamental weaknesses. I've attached a few recent sketches of short and long poses, and I'm particularly struggling with making my drawings feel solid and three-dimensional; I think my proportions are off in the torso and legs, and my line work lacks confidence, but I'm too close to my own work to see the specific fixes. I would be incredibly grateful for a constructive figure drawing critique focusing on anatomical accuracy, proportion, and how to improve the illusion of volume and weight in my figures. What are the one or two most critical areas I should prioritize in my practice based on these sketches?
