I'm part of a neighborhood association in a suburban area, and we're trying to revitalize our community events calendar after a few quiet years, but we're struggling to attract a broad mix of residents beyond the usual handful of retirees who attend everything. We're planning a spring festival but are stuck on ideas for activities that would appeal to young families, teenagers, and working adults alike, and we also need to figure out a sustainable funding model beyond asking for donations from the same few local businesses. For other neighborhoods that have successfully boosted attendance and diversity at their events, what types of activities or themes brought different age groups together? How did you secure sponsorships or cover costs, and what marketing tactics worked best to reach people who aren't already engaged in neighborhood social media groups?
