Full Version: How do you develop active listening skills for managers who are always in "solution

I'm working with several technical managers who are brilliant problem-solvers but struggle with active listening skills for managers. They're so quick to jump into solution mode that they don't fully listen to what their team members are actually saying. This is creating frustration on their teams because people don't feel heard.

What specific techniques or exercises have you found effective for helping managers develop better active listening skills? How do you help them shift from always trying to fix things to sometimes just listening and understanding?

I'm also curious about how active listening connects to feedback delivery techniques. If you're not really listening to people, how can you give them meaningful feedback that helps them grow?
