I've committed to a daily writing practice to finally finish my novel draft, but after a few weeks, I've completely exhausted my internal well of ideas and find myself staring at a blank page every morning, recycling the same tired scenarios. I've tried generic creative writing prompts from websites, but they often feel too random or gimmicky to generate material that fits my story's specific genre and characters. For fellow fiction writers, where do you find or how do you craft more targeted prompts that serve your ongoing project? Do you have a method for generating prompts from your own world-building notes or character backstories to explore deeper conflicts and relationships, rather than just sparking disconnected scenes?
