I recently picked up the Sega Genesis Classics collection on my modern console to relive some childhood memories, but I'm finding the input lag and slightly off audio emulation a bit jarring compared to my original hardware. I'm debating whether to invest in an original Genesis and a CRT again or if there are better modern solutions like the Analogue Mega Sg or specific emulator settings that can perfectly replicate the feel. For retro gaming enthusiasts, what's your preferred method for playing Sega Genesis classics today? Have you found any of the modern plug-and-play collections or FPGA consoles to be truly faithful, or is hunting down original cartridges and dealing with aging hardware still the only way to get an authentic experience?
