I finally finished the massive "Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree" expansion and am now looking for my next big game from 2024, but I'm overwhelmed by the sheer number of highly-rated releases across so many genres. I tend to prefer deep single-player experiences with strong narratives or innovative gameplay over competitive multiplayer. For other gamers who prioritize story and world-building, what were the best video games of 2024 in your opinion? I've heard great things about "Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth" and "Final Fantasy VII Rebirth," but I'm also curious about standout indie titles or sleeper hits that might have flown under the mainstream radar last year.
