I'm developing a new course on entrepreneurial strategy for business undergraduates, and I want to dedicate a significant module to analyzing business failure case studies, not just the usual success stories. I believe there's immense learning value in understanding why ventures fail, but I'm having trouble finding well-documented, nuanced case studies that go beyond superficial post-mortems. For other educators or business analysts, what are some of the most instructive failure cases you've come across? What frameworks do you use to guide students in dissecting the root causes, distinguishing between execution errors and market misfits, and extracting actionable lessons without falling into simplistic hindsight bias?
