I'm a lifelong Star Wars fan who grew up with the original trilogy, and while I've enjoyed elements of the newer films and series, I find myself increasingly disconnected from the sprawling, interconnected storytelling of the current Disney+ era. My issue isn't with the volume of content, but with the narrative weight—it feels like every side character needs a backstory, and the galaxy feels smaller as a result. For other fans who share this sentiment, how do you engage with the franchise now? Do you focus on specific creators' works, like Andor or certain novels, that feel thematically cohesive, or have you found a way to appreciate the broader tapestry despite its inconsistencies? Is the core appeal of Star Wars, for you, still about the mythic hero's journey, or has it shifted to something else entirely?
