I'm feeling overwhelmed by my cluttered closet and the constant "I have nothing to wear" feeling, so I'm seriously considering building a capsule wardrobe for the upcoming season. I work in a business casual office and want a versatile collection of around 30 items that can mix and match easily, but I'm stuck on the foundational pieces. I tend to gravitate towards neutrals like black, navy, and cream, but I'm worried it might look too boring without a few strategic pops of color or pattern. For those who have successfully transitioned to a capsule wardrobe, what was your most valuable lesson during the initial purge and planning phase? How did you decide on your core items, and did you invest in higher-quality basics right away or start with what you had?
