I just got a Steam Deck and I love it, but I'm a bit disappointed with the real-world battery life when playing some of my favorite AAA games, even with the settings turned down. I knew it wouldn't last for hours on demanding titles, but I'm trying to find a good balance between performance and longevity for longer trips. For experienced Deck users, what are your most effective strategies for extending battery life beyond the obvious TDP limits and frame rate caps? Are there specific in-game settings that are big power hogs, or do you rely more on using the built-in FSR? I'm also curious if playing less demanding indie games really gives the several hours of life that people claim.
