I'm finally ready to build my first gaming PC after years on a console, and I'm trying to put together a parts list with a budget of around $1,200. I want something that can comfortably handle new titles at 1440p with high settings, but I'm getting overwhelmed by all the choices, especially between AMD and Intel for the CPU and the different GPU models. I've been looking at a Ryzen 5 7600X paired with an RTX 4060 Ti, but I'm not sure if that's the best value or if I should wait for the next round of releases. For those who have built recently, what's a solid mid-range gaming PC build that won't be obsolete in two years? I'd also appreciate advice on a reliable power supply and a case with good airflow.
