I'm redesigning my small business website and I'm completely stuck on choosing the right typography. I want something that looks professional and modern but is also highly readable on both desktop and mobile. I've been looking at Google Fonts pairings, maybe a sans-serif for headings and a serif for body text, but there are just too many options. Does anyone have recommendations for a clean, versatile font combination that works well for a service-based business? I'm not a designer, so I really need some straightforward advice to make a confident decision.
Nice idea typography matters a lot for a service site and it helps everything feel professional yet easy to read on phones and desktops.
Keep it to two fonts at most unless you have a strong reason to go beyond it.
In a recent build I used Montserrat for headings and Merriweather for the body and it read modern yet friendly across devices.
If you want safe bets try two trusted pairings like Inter headings with Lora body or Montserrat with Merriweather.
