I'm planning a small product launch for my handmade candle business next month and I want to run some giveaways to build hype and get more email subscribers. I've never done this before and I'm unsure about the logistics. How many items should I give away to make it worthwhile? Should I partner with other small businesses or keep it solo? Also, what platforms work best for hosting these—Instagram, my website, or a dedicated giveaway tool? I'd love to hear from anyone who has run successful giveaways and what you learned from the experience.
Nice plan launch value matters aim for 3 candles as the big prize and a small bundle as a second prize this keeps the budget reasonable and signals value to entrants
Partnering with another small business can expand reach and cut costs giving both of you fresh audience and shared duties
When I ran a candle giveaway we used a two tier format with a main prize and a handful of smaller prizes and gated entries to grow email signups and social follows
Focus on one solid path rather than chasing every platform keep it simple on your site and one social channel and track results so you can scale later
