I'm new to the Springfield area and I'm trying to find some local events near me to get out and meet people. I just moved here last month for work and I don't really know anyone yet. I'm into live music, farmers markets, and maybe some casual sports leagues. I've checked the community board downtown but it seems a bit out of date. Does anyone know a good website or social media group that lists what's happening around here? I'd really appreciate any pointers.

Try checking Facebook events Meetup and Nextdoor for gatherings near you.

Eventbrite and local city or chamber pages usually have calendars and can filter by live music or markets.

Which Springfield are you in I can pull current calendars for that area if you want me to search.
