My new phone's battery is draining so fast it's weird || I just got this new phone last week and the battery life is terrible. It was fine for the first couple days but now it's dropping like 20 percent an hour even if I'm not using it much. I checked the battery usage screen and nothing obvious is eating it up. I'm starting to think I got a lemon or something. I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it already though.

That sounds rough, a brand new phone dying by 3 pm is not normal and it is super frustrating

Maybe its just a software update or background drain, but that pace on a fresh unit is worrying and worth a reset

In my experience a factory reset and the latest patch fixed similar issues, otherwise I would swap it under warranty

If nothing else helps consider a replacement rather than waiting for the issue to fade on its own
