Is a career in - cybersecurity realistic without a college degree? || I'm really interested in a career in - cybersecurity but I don't have a college degree. I've been working in general IT support for about three years. I see all these job postings asking for degrees and certs, and it's pretty discouraging. I'm willing to study for certifications like Security+ or maybe try a bootcamp. I just don't know if it's a realistic path or if I'll just get filtered out by HR software immediately. Has anyone here made the switch without a degree?
data privacy, cloud security, zero trust security || I'm really interested in a cybersecurity career but I don't have a college degree. I've been in general IT support for about three years, and I see job postings that ask for degrees and certs. I'm ready to study Security+ or try a bootcamp, but is switching careers without a degree realistic or will HR software filter me out? I'm curious how data privacy, cloud security, zero trust security skills show up in hiring and interviews. Would love to hear from others who made the jump.
