My new jeans are way too stiff and uncomfortable || I bought a pair of raw denim jeans because everyone said they get more comfortable over time. But right now they are so stiff and heavy it feels like I'm wearing cardboard. I've worn them a few times and washed them once but they haven't softened up much. How long does this breaking-in period actually take? I'm starting to regret not just getting regular jeans.
Raw denim usually loosens up with regular wear over weeks or months. Expect the stiffness to ease after about 4 to 8 weeks, sometimes longer depending on the fabric and fit.
To speed it up a bit try a controlled soak in lukewarm water then wear them damp until they dry and take shape keeping washing to a minimum and air dry only
