My car's - in-vehicle infotainment system is so laggy

The - in-vehicle infotainment system in my 2022 SUV is incredibly slow and glitchy. It takes forever to boot up and the touchscreen is unresponsive half the time. I just want to connect my phone for music and maps, but it's a whole ordeal every time I start the car. The dealer says it's normal and a future update might fix it. It's frustrating that such an expensive car has worse tech than my phone.
That sounds frustrating and you are not alone Many head units get slow when there is a lot going on with wireless connections and apps Try testing with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto connected by USB to see if it feels snappier than wireless If yes the fix might be the wireless link or the head unit itself
Try a soft reset and check for software updates for the infotainment system If an update exists install it and reboot the car Sometimes this clears lag and glitches
If your dealer says its normal ask for a diagnostics check under warranty or for a dealer service bulletin If you can reproduce the lag note when it happens and what you were doing to help the tech
In the meantime use your phone for maps and music via Bluetooth or CarPlay to keep things simple That way you can connect and go without fighting the car screen
