- video editing is taking over my life

I started a YouTube channel for fun but now the - video editing is consuming all my free time. For every hour of footage, I spend like four hours cutting and adding basic text. I'm using a free editor and it keeps crashing. I enjoy the creative part but the technical slog is making me want to quit. There has to be a faster way to do this.
