How do you know if your startup ideas are any good?

I have a notebook full of startup ideas but I'm honestly too scared to act on any of them. How do you even start to figure out if an idea is worth pursuing? I've tried talking to friends but they're always too nice. I feel like I need a way to test them without spending a ton of money first.
Totally normal you feel stuck Start with customer discovery not your notebook Talk to 5 people who face the problem you think your idea fixes Listen for real pain not praise and map if it justifies building more
Take one idea and run it through startup ideas validation Define the problem the outline of a solution and the early benefits Ask if people would pay or use it in real life Look for real signals not vibes
Do tiny tests that cost almost nothing A simple landing page an explainer video or a mock signup can reveal interest If you want context market research for startups helps you identify real demand
Use a basic two week plan Pick one idea interview three potential customers build a one page plan and watch for signs of traction like signups or replies
Share one idea and the problem it solves and I will help structure a fast validation plan with questions and metrics to track early feedback
