I'm trying to decide on the best video editing software for 2025 for a specific need: editing long-form interview content where the priority is seamless, non-destructive transcription editing and linking clips to a text transcript, not flashy effects. The big names seem overkill. Has anyone found a tool that truly excels at this text-based, narrative editing workflow?
