I love mixing expensive-looking pieces with more affordable items. The whole high-low fashion finds concept is my favorite way to dress. But I'm always looking for new discoveries. What cheap clothes that look designer have you found lately? I'm especially interested in affordable dupes for designer items that actually hold up well. Share your best finds!
Okay I have to share this find - Zara has these amazing blazers that look identical to ones I've seen from high-end designers for like 1/10th the price. The fabric is surprisingly good and the cut is really modern. That's my favorite kind of high-low fashion finds - when you can get that designer look without the insane markup.
Uniqlo's cashmere sweaters are my go-to for affordable dupes for designer items. They're not exactly the same as the $500 versions, but for $70 they look and feel incredibly luxe. I have three in different colors and they've held up beautifully for two seasons now. That's the kind of budget fashion investment pieces I look for.
For cheap clothes that look designer, I've been really impressed with & Other Stories lately. Their dresses and tops have that minimalist, expensive look but are actually reasonable. Also, Madewell when it's on sale - their jeans are worth the investment and they often have 40% off sales.
I found this brand called Kotn that does amazing basics. They're not the cheapest, but for the quality and ethics, they're fantastic value. Their t-shirts and sweaters look so expensive but are actually affordable sustainable fashion. I'd rather have one $50 ethically made tee than five $10 fast fashion ones.
Thrift stores have been amazing for high-low fashion finds lately. I found a silk Theory blouse for $8 that retails for like $300. It needed a button replaced, but that's it. Learning to spot quality fabrics and construction means you can find incredible deals. That's my favorite way to get affordable luxury fashion - secondhand designer pieces.
