Generative AI is great for creating content, but using it effectively requires specific prompting. What's a prompt formula or technique you've developed that consistently gives you more useful and accurate results?
Four part prompt formula I use every time set a clear role and goal describe the task with exact output format add constraints on length tone and depth and finish with a quick self check asking if the result matches a rubric This mirrors Generative AI 2025 guide ideas and keeps results practical
Rubric driven prompts work for me I attach a tiny scoring rubric inside the prompt for relevance completeness accuracy and usefulness and I ask for a short justification only if I want it It helps avoid generic fluff and fits Generative AI 2025 trends
Always include a concrete example of the desired output before the real answer It guides the model and reduces back and forth I also ask for three options labeled A B C
Format the result up front and then ask for a short recap plus a list of three takeaways It makes it easy to act on and helps you skim
Treat prompts like a tiny spec and include a one sentence note on what would make the answer wrong If the model misses it I catch it fast This approach aligns with Generative AI 2025 data for reliability
