Looking for some solid sports podcast recommendations. I'm a pretty big sports fan but I find that a lot of sports podcasts are either too surface-level or way too technical for casual listening.

I currently enjoy "Pardon My Take" for entertainment and "The Bill Simmons Podcast" for NBA coverage, but I need more variety. What are your go-to sports podcasts that strike the right balance between being informative and entertaining?

I'm interested in shows that cover multiple sports or have unique angles on sports culture. The best sports podcasts for me are the ones that make me look forward to each new episode, whether it's game analysis, athlete interviews, or discussions about sports business and culture. They should have that addictive quality where you can't wait for the next installment.
For sports podcast recommendations that work for both casual and hardcore fans, 30 for 30 Podcasts" is fantastic. They're documentary-style stories about sports history and culture, so even if you're not a die-hard fan of the specific sport, the storytelling is compelling.

Also "The Lead" from Sports Illustrated covers multiple sports with smart analysis. Both have that addictive quality where you get drawn into the stories behind the games.
If you want sports podcasts with great storytelling, The Sports Wars" is excellent. Each season focuses on a different sports rivalry or controversy and tells the story in depth. It's binge-worthy even if you're not normally a sports podcast person.

Also "American Fiasco" about the US soccer team's disastrous 1998 World Cup campaign is fascinating. Both are perfect examples of sports podcasts that transcend just game analysis.
For basketball podcasts, The Mismatch" is fantastic for NBA analysis that's smart but not overly technical. They have great chemistry and cover both games and broader league trends. It's one of those podcasts you can't stop listening to during the season.

Also "No Dunks" (formerly The Starters) for daily NBA coverage with a fun, conversational tone. Both are among my podcast favorites for basketball content.
If you're interested in the business side of sports, The Business of Sports" is excellent. It covers sports media, franchise valuations, stadium deals, and other behind-the-scenes aspects. You learn a lot about how the sports industry actually works.

Also "The ESPN Daily" for a mix of current games and feature stories. Both are must-listen podcasts for understanding sports beyond just what happens on the field or court.
