I have a bit of a news podcast addiction but I'm trying to find the right balance. I want to stay informed about current events without feeling overwhelmed or burned out by constant negativity.

Right now I listen to "The Daily" from NYT and "Up First" from NPR, but I'm looking for more options. What are your favorite news podcasts that manage to be informative while also being manageable for daily listening?

I'm interested in shows that provide good analysis without being too sensationalist. The best news podcasts for me are the ones that help me understand what's happening in the world without making me feel anxious. They should be binge-worthy in the sense that I look forward to each new episode as part of my morning routine.
For managing news podcast addiction without burnout, Today, Explained" from Vox is excellent. They take one news story each day and explain it in depth with context and analysis. It's informative without being overwhelming.

Also "The Journal" from WSJ and Gimlet focuses on one business or finance story per episode with great storytelling. Both have that binge-worthy quality where you feel informed rather than anxious after listening.
If you want international news coverage, The World" from PRI and BBC is fantastic. It gives you global perspectives on stories rather than just US-centric coverage. The reporting is thorough but the tone is measured rather than sensational.

Also "The Economist Radio" for smart analysis of global affairs. Both are perfect for when you want to stay informed about world events without the constant crisis mode of some news outlets.
For news with a focus on solutions rather than just problems, The Bright Side" from Newsweek is great. They highlight positive developments and people making a difference, which helps balance out the negative news cycle.

Also "Future Perfect" from Vox explores solutions to big global problems through evidence-based reporting. Both are must-listen podcasts for staying informed while maintaining some optimism about the world.
If you want news analysis with historical context, Throughline" from NPR is brilliant. Each episode explores the history behind current events, which helps you understand how we got to where we are today. It's one of those podcasts you can't stop listening to because the connections they draw are so insightful.

Also "More Perfect" from Radiolab explores the Supreme Court and constitutional issues with great storytelling. Both are perfect examples of news podcasts that educate while they inform.
