I've been focusing my practice on animating textures and materials on static objects, like making a brick wall subtly breathe or wood grain slowly flow like water. It's a way to create mood and story without character movement. Most animation tutorials focus on walk cycles and lip sync, but are there any good resources for this kind of hyper-focused, ambient motion design?
