I've been experimenting with using a simple flatbed scanner instead of a camera for still life and macro work. The level of detail and the unique, shadowless light it creates is wild, but it forces you to think about composition in a completely different way. Beyond the obvious scanning of old photos, what are some unconventional photography tips for using scanners creatively?
