The conceptual art movement really interests me because it seems to have fundamentally challenged traditional definitions of art. When the idea becomes more important than the physical object, it opens up so many possibilities - but it also raises questions about what qualifies as art.
How has the conceptual art movement influenced other contemporary art practices? I see its influence in everything from performance art to installation art to some forms of street art movement.
Do you think the emphasis on concept over craftsmanship has been positive for the art world, or has it led to work that's too intellectual and inaccessible? And how do conceptual artists balance creating work that's intellectually rigorous while still being visually engaging?
