I've been studying futurism art and I'm fascinated by how it celebrated technology, speed, and industrialization at the beginning of the 20th century. The Futurists were obsessed with machines, cars, airplanes, and the urban experience.

But I'm curious about how this relationship with technology evolved. Did futurism art accurately predict technological developments, or was it more about capturing the feeling of technological progress? How did their technological optimism compare to later movements that also engaged with technology?

Also, what do you think about contemporary artists who work with similar themes - are they continuing the futurism art tradition, or creating something new?
