Vocal processing is its own special challenge. What free vocal processing plugins do you recommend for home studio setups? Looking for everything from basic EQ and compression to more specialized tools like de-essers, pitch correction, and vocal exciters. Some free audio utility plugins can be really helpful for vocals too. What's in your vocal chain when you're working with free plugins only?
For free vocal processing plugins, I use TDR Nova for de-essing (using the dynamic EQ), Kotelnikov for compression, and Valhalla Supermassive for reverb. For pitch correction, the GSnap autotune is free but basic. These free audio utility plugins cover most vocal needs. A good chain of free vocal processing plugins can get you 90% of the way there compared to expensive options.
