As someone who loves emojis, I've been thinking about where the line is between expressive communication and excessive emoji usage. I use emojis to convey tone and emotion that might get lost in text, but I don't want to be that person who makes messages hard to read.

I've seen some guidelines that say more than 3 emojis in a message is too much, or that emojis shouldn't replace words entirely. But context matters too - what's excessive in a professional email might be normal in a casual group chat.

What's your personal rule for emoji use? When do you think it crosses into excessive emoji usage territory? And how do you handle it when someone's emoji use becomes one of those online conversation annoyances for you?
