Want to get a drone for travel videos and photography but the options are overwhelming. Looking for drone recommendations that balance quality, ease of use, and portability. What are people actually taking on trips and getting good results with?

For drone recommendations, the DJI Mini 4 Pro is perfect for travel. It's under 250g so you don't need a license in many places, and the camera quality is excellent. The obstacle avoidance helps prevent crashes while you're learning. It folds up small enough to fit in a backpack. Battery life is about 30 minutes per battery.
The Autel Evo Nano+ is a good DJI alternative. Similar size and weight to the Mini series but with a slightly better camera sensor. The lack of geofencing is nice if you fly in areas with lots of restrictions. Build quality feels premium and it comes with a nice hard case.
If you're on a tighter budget, the DJI Mini 2 SE is still a solid choice. The camera is 12MP which is plenty for social media and the range is good. It doesn't have all the advanced features of the newer models but it flies well and takes decent photos/videos. Great way to get into drones without spending a ton.
