I've worked on both solo projects and small team projects, and game development team management is a whole different beast. When you're managing a team, even a small one, you have to deal with communication, task distribution, and keeping everyone motivated.

One thing I've learned about game development team management is that clear communication is way more important than I initially thought. Misunderstandings about deadlines, feature scope, or technical requirements can derail a project quickly.

What challenges have you faced with game development team management, and how did you overcome them? I'm especially interested in tips for remote teams, since that's becoming more common.
